Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a hot rolled steel strip for a high tensile seam welded steel pipe with superior groove corrosion resistance and flattening performance by adding a specified amount of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Al, Ca and one or more among Nb, V, Cu and Ni to Fe and specifying the ratio of Ca to S.
CONSTITUTION: A hot rolled steel strip is manufactured using steel contg., by wt., ≤0.5% C, ≤1% Si, 0.3W1.8% Mn, ≤0.03% P, ≤0.02% S, 0.01W0.1% Al, 0.001W0.1% Ca and and one or more among 0.005W0.1% Nb, 0.005W0.1% V, 0.1W0.6% Cu and 0.1W1% Ni and satisfying 0.5≤Ca%/S%≤1. When Ni is added, it is desirable to use Cu in combination with Ni. The Mn and Si contents are balanced to stabilize the strength, so that ratio of Mn%/Si% is adjusted to 4W10.
