Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare uniform and stable pigment dispersant composition by adding specific metal salt of amino acid or metal salt of amino sulfonic acid as a pigment dispersant to paint.
CONSTITUTION: The pigment dispersant composition is prepared by adding the metal salt of amino acid or metal salt of amino sulfonic acid expressed by the formula I as a pigment dispersant at the producing of paint. (Here, R1 in the formula is alkyl groups of C8W40 that may contain hydroxyl groups, R2 is hydrogen atom or alkyl groups of C1W20, R3 is alkylene groups of C1W6, A is COO group or SO3 group, M is copper, zinc, etc. and (n) is integers of 1W4). Then, the uniform and stable pigment dispersant composition which does not cohere is obtained and the resulted coating film has good gloss, clear appearance, etc.
