Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the ink jet head wherein a magnetic ink is used and the jet efficiency is increased, by arranging a magnetic field generating apparatus upstream with respect to a vibrator unit, the magnetic field generating apparatus preventing the magnetic ink from flowing back when the vibrator unit applies pressure to the magnetic ink in a liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:When a signal P of information such as letters is inputted, driving pulses (a) are outputted from a driving circuit 9, and the driving pulses (a) are applied through a leading wire 5 to the vibrator unit 4 to vibrate it and to generate pressure waves in the ink within the liquid chamber 3, so that ink droplets are jetted from a nozzle 2 and part of the ink is pushed back toward an ink introducing tube 6. At the same time, the driving circuit 9 sends a signal to a time delay circuit 10 of which the signal (b) drives 9 magnetic field driving circuit 11. The magnetic field driving circuit 11 sends a pulse electric current (c) to a coil 13 to drive the magnetic field generating apparatus 8. The magnetic ink within the ink introducing tube 6 is forced to the opposite wall of the tube 6 by magnetic force so that the tendency of the magnetic ink to flow back may be prevented and therefore the amount of the ink to be jetted from the nozzle 2 can be increased.
