Abstract

PURPOSE: To obviate giving any damage to the original by performing destaticization of the original placement surface while moving a destaticizing means together with a scanning optical system from the side of an original placement member opposite from its original placement side.
CONSTITUTION: A lighting system is provided to the copying apparatus 2 side and an original feed mechanism part 1 consists of a feeder part 10 which is placed on with originals 8 for copying and has a conveying part 9, as well as a conveying belt 11, a set part 13 for stopping conveying by a roller group 12 and a tray part 14. The exposure of the original 8 is accomplished by scanning the original 8 placed in a stopped state on a glass plate 3 by moving the 1st, 2nd mirrors 4, 6 in the direction of the arrow A. At this time, a destaticizing means 15 is moved together with these mirrors 4, 6 in the direction of the arrow A. In this way, it moves while destaticizing the positions where no original is placed on the glass plate 3 and therefore it provides a high destaticization effect, eliminates electrostatic adhesion power of thin originals or the like and makes conveying of the original easy.
