Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve comfortableness sensed by a human body and to accomplish the economical operation of an air conditioner, by controlling the operation of an air conditioner in response to the output of a humidity sensor disposed in a space to be air-conditioned or the output of a sensor capable of directly detecting the sweating of a human body.
CONSTITUTION: The air conditioner 1 comprises a control unit 3, humidity indicating section 4, humidity setting button 5, etc. The control unit 3 is arranged to control operation of the air conditioner in response to the output of a humidity sensor 2 disposed in a space to be air-conditioned and to stop operation of the air conditioner when the humidity takes a value within a prescribed range. Here, it is also possible to use a sensor capable of detecting the sweating of a human body in place of the humidity sensor 2. Such a sensor is set at a place such as pocket in clothes or inside a pillow on a bed where the sensor is kept in direct contact with the human body, for starting cooling operation when the sensor detects sweating of a human body and stopping operation when sweating is stopped. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to operate an air conditioner economically in response to the humidity and sweating of a human body.
