Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the pressure flucuation of anode and cathode rooms of electrolytic bath, by opening the discharge nozzle at a specific distance from the inner face of upper wall of the electrolytic bath and also, making the inner diameter so that the discharge liquid is at a specific flowing velocity. CONSTITUTION:Fluctuation of liquid level to cause the break of diaphragm or electrode breakdown, etc. and pressure fluctuation by the plug flow in the electrolytic bath, are prevented. Each opening part of the discharge nozzle 4 of the anode 11 and the discharge nozzle 5 of the cathode of the electrolytic bath 1, is provided at the inner part having >=30mm. space (prefrably, 30-150mm., more preferably, 50- 100mm.) from the inner face of the upper wall 8 and opening position of the nozzle 4 in the bath is positioned more inner than that of the nozzle 5. Inner diameter of the nozzles 4, 5 is made so as to be 0.5-20m/sec flowing velocity (preferably, 0.8- 14). The nozzle 4 is made of titanium or titanium alloy and the nozzle 5 is made of iron, stainless steel or nickel. The bath 1 and the diaphragm 15 are provided alternately and the diaphragm 15 is made of cation exchange resin and then, the anode room frame 13 and cathode room frame 14, are arranged at both ends.
