Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deviation of retainers for a long period, by using gear mechanisms consisting of pinions and racks and provided beside a linear bearing, to restrain the movement of the linear bearing, especially the movement of its rollers and the retainers which hold the rollers.
CONSTITUTION: Straight guide rails 12a, 12b are secured on a pair of parallel pro- truded pieces 11a, 11b provided on the top near its both side edges on a base 11. Guide rails 14a, 14b are secured on both sides of the protruded part of a moving table 13. Rollers 15a, 15b are interposed between the guide rails 12a, 14a and 12b, 14b. The rollers 15a, 15b are held by plate-shaped retainers 16a, 16b. Buffer members 17a, 17b on bar springs are attached to the retainers 16a, 16b. Pinions 18a, 18b are attached to the tips of the members 17a, 17b. The pinions 18a, 18b are engaged with racks 19a, 19b, 20a, 20b secured on the base 11 and the table 13.
