Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled ornamental material rich in the feelings of wood by a method wherein a wood grain pattern is printed on a base material, over which pattern are formed vernal-subgrain print portions by use of mat ink and wintry- subgratin build-up print portions by build-up printing.
CONSTITUTION: A wood grain pattern print portion 3 is formed on a base material 1 by a printing method such as gravure printing, and vernal-subgrain print portions 6 are formed in the regions corresponding to the vernal subgrains by a printing method such as gravure printing through utilization of mat ink. Build-up ink films 4 are formed in the regions corresponding to wintry subgrains by a build-up printing according to gravure printing through utilization of gravure printing ink containing vinyl chloride sol as a binder. Then, heating is conducted using hot blast 8 for gelation of the printing ink in the build-up ink films 4 and lustering the surface. Accordingly, lustrous build-up print portions 5 are formed in the pattern of wintry grains and the titled ornamental material is obtained.
