Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the potential with ease by a method wherein the output of a surface electrometer is transduced into a digital value in a computer, the output values thereof at different timing are stored and are indicated in liminous diodes based on instructions.
CONSTITUTION: The chopper 83 of the electrometer which detects the surface electric potential of a photosensitive drum for reproducing device and the like 47 is also rotated by a motor 82 and synchronizing signals are outputted from a LED 84 and a phototransistor 87, while a surface electrocharge signal is outputted from an electrode 85. These signals as inputted in a computer CT7 built in an A/D converter and processed there and are sent to a means for adjusting the surface electric potential, while driving an indication circuit CT10 consisting of group of LEDs. Therefore, the measured potential can be inspected only by the changing over of a switch without using any outside measuring device such as a voltmeter and also the electric potential generated at different timging can easily be inspected.
