Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely enable the detection of the position of the joint with excellent workability and high accuracy by composing the device of a detecting part containing a magnetic sensor and a permanent magnet for bias, a magnetoelectric transducer connected to the magnetic sensor and a measuring part containing an indicator.
CONSTITUTION: The device 10 is equipped with the detecting part 16 containing the magnetic sensor 12 to move along the joint of the stranded wire and the permanent magnet 14 for bias which has larger magnetism than the residual magnetism of the steel wire and is closely fitted to the magnetic sensor 12 so as to ignore the residual magnetism. The device is further equipped with the magnetoelectric transducer 18 connected to the sensor 12 and with the measuring part 24 containing the indicator 20 connected to the transducer and a zero-adjuster 22 applying zero-adjustment to the indicator, while a sensitivity adjuster 30 is provided between the transducer 18 and the indicator 20. By this constitution, the position of the joint can surely be detected with excellent workability and high accuracy.
