Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively seize a fine particle without causing a rise of exhaust pressure in a fine particle processing device arranged in an exhaust line, by providing water injection nozzles and a series of separator plates intersecting in perpendicular to a flow direction of exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: In an exhaust pipe 10 a fine particle processing device 12 is arranged and a series of separator plates 16 are provided in such as a manner as to cross at a right angle with a flow direction of exhaust gas. In the upper part of a chamber 14 water injection nozzles 18 are mounted, and its lower part 14d is formed as a porous plate to secure a water tank 20 below said plate. The exhaust gas is contacted to injected water from the nozzles 18, and a fine particle like soot is caught and accumulated in the water tank 20 after passing through the porous area of the bottom part 14d. While the exhaust gas is allowed to drain its water by a porous plate 30 are reaches an outlet port 14d. In this way, the fine particle in the exhaust gas can be effectively seized.
