Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable whether oxygen exists or not to be decided by naked eyes by using thionine as a color former and differing the color tone of the same in the presence and absence of oxygen.
CONSTITUTION: An oxygen detecting agent contains thionine, glucose, and a compound contg. sodium silicate crystal water and/or a compound contg. sodium carbonate crystal water, and further contains water, depending upon cases. The suitable amount of using thionine is 0.001W1wt% in the oxygen detecting agent, the amount of using glucose is ≥5pts.wt. and ≤1,000pts.wt. based on 1pt.wt. of thionine, and the amount of using the compound contg. sodium silicate crystal water or the compound contg. sodium carbonate crystal water is ≥5pts.wt. and ≤ 5,000pts.wt. based on 1pt.wt. of glucose.
