Abstract

PURPOSE: To ease a stress concentration on the end surface of a cushion rubber layer by providing a groove having specified width and depth at a predetermined position in the circumferential direction of a tire on the end surface of a new tread part of a vulcanizer which is attached to a casing by an adhesive with a cushion rubber layer interposed therebetween.
CONSTITUTION: A reclaimed tire is obtained by attaching with an adhesive a new vulcanizer tread part 2 to the casing 4, from which an old worn-out tread part is removed, with a cushion rubber layer 3 interposed therebetween. The new tread 2 has a groove 5 on the both side end surfaces in the circumferential direction of the tire. In this instance, the length T2 from the inner peripheral edge b of the cushion rubber layer 3 to the upper limit edge c of the groove 5 and the length T1 from the edge b to the lower limit edge a of the groove 5 are respectively designed to be not more than 75% and 25% of the thickness T of the tread 2. Further, the groove 5 is designed to have a depth D in the range from 50% to 200% of the length T1 and a width W of 1.0mm or more. Such a construction works to ease the stress concentration on the end part of the cushion rubber layer 3, resulting in less occurrence of cracks therein.
