Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to increase fuel in proportion to various accelerating conditions by a method wherein one diaphragm chamber of an actuator which controls a flow control valve is communicated directly to an intake pipe in the downstream of a throttle valve and the other diaphragm chamber is communicated to the pipe through a negative pressure control valve.
CONSTITUTION: In acceleration, negative pressure in an intake pipe decreases rapidly, and this negative pressure change is transmitted to an actuator 30 through a pipe passage 31 from a port 27. Pressure in a diaphragm chamber 33 varies then following that negative pressure change, whereas negative pressure in a diaphragm chamber 32 decreases slowly since the pressure is transmitted only with an orifice 42 in a start of the negative pressure in the intake pipe by an action of a negative pressure control valve 40 which has a check valve 41 and the orifice 42 provided in parallel. Accordingly, negative pressure is larger in the chamber 32 in acceleration than in the chamber 33, which makes a diaphragm 34 move to the right side against a spring 38 to open a flow control valve 37. With this action, fuel increased by a fuel discharge port 25 is discharged.
