Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture metallic material having corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance at high temp., by melt-spraying or vapor-depositing a material, made by adding rare earth element s to metallic material contg. one or more members among Cr, Ni, Al, Co, on the surface of a substrate, and by making A or Cr diffuse and permeate into the substrate.
CONSTITUTION: One or more members among rare earth elements are added to a metallic material contg. one or more members among Cr, Ni, Al, Co. The quantities of the rare earth elements to be added depend upon the temp. at which the metallic material is used, e.g. 0.2W0.3% when it is used at 800W900°C temp., 0.4W0.6% at 900W1,000°C temp., and 0.7W0.8% at 1,000W1,100°C temp. The metallic material is melt-sprayed or vapor-deposited on the surface of a substrate at the set temp. to form a film. In addition, diffusion or permeation of Al or Cr in the surface of the substrate is performed in order to improve oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. One or more members among rare earth elements may be sprayed in powder on the surface of the substrate before diffusion and permeation in order to accelerate the diffusion and the permeation.
