Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Benzothiazine derivatives of formula I [R1WR5 are H, lower alkyl respectively; R6 is 1W20C alkyl, cycloalky, aralkyl, aryloxyalkl, formula II (R7 is H, alkyl, aralkyl), or R5 and R6 are group which can form a heterocyclic ring together with an adjacent nitrogen atom; n is 0W2] or their salts.
EXAMPLE: 1-(3,4-Dihydro-3-oxo-2H-1,4-benzothiazin-6-yl)-2-tert-butylamino-propanol.
USE: They are used as a drug having activities of increasing cerevral blood flow, vasodilation, antithrombosis, cholesterol reduction and hypotension.
PREPARATION: The reaction between a compound of formula III (Y is halogen) and another compound of formula IV affords a novel compound of formula V (R8 is the same as R5 or amino-protecting group that can be eliminated by hydrolysis), which is reduced to give the compound of formula I.
