Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize a crane not in use and obtain the sailing power, by extending a sail between a mast erected onto a crane turning mount and a movable body movable along a jib.
CONSTITUTION: To a turning mount 1 for a marine crane a mast 10, to which a sailcloth 15 is rolled, is rotatably mounted by a mast rotating device 11. The sailcloth 15 is formed into a triangular shape, and its end part is mounted to a movable body 17. The movable body 17 is capable of moving on a jib 3 by a wire rope 23, and the sail can be extended as shown by a virtual line A when the movable body is shifted to the end part of the jib 3. Accordingly the direction of the said can be changed by turning the overall crane. In this way, combined use of the crane for the sail can obtain the sailing power without providing a specific equipment.
