Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it easy to utilize emphasis by recording a frame synchronizing signal together with control information such as preemphasis information and by automatically putting a reproducing circuit through switching for reproduction by detecting the control information in the frame synchronizing signal.
CONSTITUTION: A digital signal consists of frames, each frame 1 of which consists of synchronizing signal 2, data signal 3 and error detection signal 4. Synchronizing signal 2 is recorded being made different in recording between the on operation and off operation of a preemphasis circuit. The reproduced digital signal passes through input terminal 8 and is inputted to digital comparators 6 and 7 via shift register 5. Synchronizing pulses from output terminal 11 of the digital comparator are sent to deemphasis circuit 13, which provides deemphasis automatically in reproduction. Thus, the utilization of emphasis can be facilitated. Therefore, high-fidelity reproduction can be carried out.
