Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid the delay on the screen from being remarkable, by correcting the delay in the chroma signal to the luminance signal produced at the comb type filter with a simple constitution only with the provision of delay circuit of 1H on the luminance signal line. CONSTITUTION:The rotating heads 6A, 6B for reproduction are located with an angle of 180 deg., the reproduction signal is picked up by alternately scanning them on tape, the output signal is amplified at the reproduction amplifiers 7A, 7B, and the output is fed to the switching circuit 8. The output of the amplifiers 7A, 7B is switched in synchronizing with the tape scanning by the switching circuit 8, the output of the amplifier 7A is obtained at 1/2 rotating period when the head 6A scans on tape and the output of the amplifier 7B is obtained at the remaining 1/2 rotating period when the head 6B scans. The output of the switching circuit 8 is fed to the demodulation circuit 10 via HPF9 for demodulation, and the luminance signal is fed to the mixer 12 through the delay circuit 11. Further, the output of the switching circuit 8 is fed to LPF13 to obtain the chroma signal in low band conversion, and the signal is fed to the mixer 12 to correct the delay in the chroma signal.
