Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable liquid development without leaving excess developing fluid, by using a developing material consisting of the first flexible layer not causing deformation on a contact face, the second flexible and conductive layer, and the third layer capable of absorbing the developing fluid and releasing it by squeezing.
CONSTITUTION: A flexible material for development consists of first flexible layer 19 of netlike material of nylon, polyester, or the like nondeformable on its side in contact with face 6 to be developed, and capable of passing the developing fluid through it; second flexible conductive layer 18 of feltlike metallic fiber exhibiting a developing electrode effect and capable of passing the developing fluid freely through it; and third layer 17 of a foam elastic of foam urethane capable of absorbing and releasing the developing fluid by squeezing. Said material has a roller or belt shape and is used as shown in the figure, thus permitting liquid development to be made without leaving an excess of the residual developing fluid by supplying it due to its squeeze and absorbing its excess due to deformation restoration of said material.
