Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polyamide-imide resin, excellent in heat resistance, wear resistance, etc. and suitable as a varnish for an enameled wire, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A polycarboxylic acid, which contains an isocyanurate ring-containing polyisocyanate, an aromatic diisocyanate, a lactam and an acid anhydride group, in such a proportion that an equivalent ratio of the isocyanate group to the carboxyl group and the acid anhydride group is 0.9W1.2, and an equivalent ratio of the caprolactam to the total isocyanate group is 0.2W0.9, is reacted in the presence of a cresol solvent at 160W235°C, to obtain purpose polyamide-imide resin. The resin contains 10wt% or less methanol-soluble component, and contains a methanol- insoluble component having reduced specific viscosity ≥0.15 in dimethylformamide, and is soluble in a cresol solvent.
