PURPOSE:To obtain PPI display of the features within the front 180 deg. range in the upper half CRT screen and also to display the A scope image of the fish group shown therein on the lower half CRT screen by utilizing the fly back time of the spiral bright spot sweep. CONSTITUTION:The detection results are displayd through PPI, on the upper half screen of CRT16. And when a signal from a fish group, etc. in an optional direction theta is obtained, the fish group signal concerning the direction theta is stored in the memory 8. In this case, an appropriate selection is made in such a way as extracting the vicinity of the fish group by controlling the memory circuit control unit 7 by means of the keying pulses. Next, the signal stored in the memory 8 is read out within the fly back time between the end of the PPI sweep and the beginning of the next sweep, and using the signal obtained from this, amplitude deflection is performed to obtain the A scope whose amplitude is linear against the size of the signal, thus, resulting in the A scope image in the lower half CRT screen.
