Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase an effective print speed even if Chinese characters and A/N characters are mixed by writing the print speed, information and a skip speed by arranging information in a line buffer before the start of printing and by controlling the print speed by the information.
CONSTITUTION: Information discriminated between Chinese characters and A/N characters is inputted to line buffer 2, which is stored with discrimination bits and character codes. Prior to the start of printing, intrabuffer arranging circuit 4 reads and decides a discrimination bit in buffer 2; when the bit shows a Chinese character, information to be printed at a low speed is stored in speed memory 14 and when space SP, counter 5 counts it to put the information in order by writing internal code F showing the start of SP, contents of counter 5 and those of speed memory 14 at both ends of countinuous SPs in buffer 2. On the basis of the speed information and the number of SPs, speed control circuit 10 calculates the print speed and print position of the next block to control space motor driving part 11.
