Abstract

PURPOSE:To distribute a sealed material to the inner surface of a hollow cylinder in such a manner as to obtain an equal inside radius and correct the unbalance of a hollow shaft, by sealing a liquid-state material in the hollow part of the hollow cylinder and making a rotating motion around the central axis of outer sides of the hollow shaft. CONSTITUTION:In the hollow part of a hollow cylinder 5 with an unequal thickness, a liquid-state material 12 having a character of being solidified with the lapse of time is sealed and then end plates 6, 7 are replaced to the former condition to make a rotating motion about the central axis of outer sides. During the rotating motion, the inside of the liquid-state material 12 distributed to the inner surface of the hollow cylinder 5 tends to be balanced by a same centrifugal force, resulting in the production of an actual circle with the central axis of rotating motion as a center. In this way, an uneven thickness of the hollow cylinder 5 can be equalized by the liquid-state material 12, and this causes a same result as that the hollow cylinder is machined in a good accuracy with its thickness constant in any place, and a vibration is not caused in the hollow cylinder even if rotated in such a condition as described.
