PURPOSE:To both perform an adequate correction of balance and obtain any amount of adjustment for the correction when an unbalanced crankshaft is corrected its balance by processing its weight part, by applying both methods of machining works of hole drilling and pad welding. CONSTITUTION:In a journal shaft 2 of three-cylinder construction as a whole where pin shafts 3 and weight parts 4 are not in a symmetrical position to one another, the processing work of balance for the weight part 4 is performed by jointly using a method of drilling holes 5 and a method of welding pads 6, to make a correction with the pad 6 toward the increase side of a balance weight and the hole 5 toward the decrease side of a balance weight. In this way, the work of correction can be performed toward any side of balance weight adjustment and also advantageous when a shaft of 1-3-cylinder construction with unsymmetical weight parts is balanced.
