Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove malodor and humidity floating on the floor surface of pig rooms in a pigpen, by extending a duct longitudinally of the pigpen and extending branch pipes from the duct in the manner that they reach almost the floor surface of respective pig rooms.
CONSTITUTION: A longitudinal duct 5 is disposed at an upper portion in a pigpen 1 in the manner that it is extended along the length of pig rooms 2. From the duct 5, branch pipes 6 are extended into respective pig rooms 2 in the manner that openings 7 at the end of respective branch pipes 6 are located above the floor surface of respective pig rooms 2. An exhaust fan 8 is connected to the top of duct 5 but the end of duct 5 is closed. Here, a branch pipe 6 located near the exhaust fan 8 has therein a reduced portion 10 so that the air flow through a branch pipe 6 located near the end of duct 5 can be increased. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to remove malodor and humidity which are floating on the floor surface of pig rooms 2 and to ventilate the entire space of pigpen 1 effectively.
