Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable quick local cooling around a driver, by connecting the three- way blow-off duct of an automobile cooler to its intake duct through a duct to forcedly recirculate cool air to the intake duct. CONSTITUTION:When a quick cooling switch 17 is turned on during the circulation of internal air, a magnet valve 13 is opened so that an actuator 12 is operated by negative pressure from a vacuum manifold 15. As a result, a cool air recirculation damper 18 is opened to conduct cool air into an intake duct 1 again and mix the cool air with internal air at (f). After heat exchange in an evaporator 2, the mixed air is divided into a vehicle room (b) and a three-way blow-off duct 3 through a heater unit 4 and a heater duct 5. After that, a thermostat 10 acts at a set temperature and the damper 8 is closed through the actuator 12 to resume three-way blow-off. Quick cooling around a driver is thus effected.
