Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a cutting characteristic of a grinder wheel and its forming precision by a method wherein some large size diamonds having a specified grain size are immersed in a portion requiring a major cutting of the grinder wheel and some fine particles of diamond having a specified grain size are immersed in another portion requiring a forming precision.
CONSTITUTION: Large-sized diamond having a mesh size of #10/12W20/23 is immersed in a portion having a major cutting for a grinder wheel by an electrotyping process and also fine sized diamond having a mesh size of #40/60W100/120 is immersed by an electrotyping in another portion of a grinder wheel requiring a precision of forming. Under this arrangement, the forming of the grinder wheel enables a high cutting performance and improves a precision of the forming process.
