Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to form perfect flat flame, by disposing a disklike insert having a plurality of curved vanes formed on the lower surface thereof in a recess formed by an upper opening of a burner head, and thereby forming complete swirl of combustion gas in the body of the burner head.
CONSTITUTION: When pre-mixed fuel gas is supplied under high pressure from a fuel supply port 3, the fuel gas comes into abutment with the disklike insert 4 at its central portion and distributed radially of the disk of the insert 4. When the fuel gas flows into a swirl space 5 guided by curved vanes 4b formed on the lower surface of the insert 4, the direction of its flow is changed, and then fuel is discharged from an annular flame hole 8 and combusted. Here, since this flame hole 8 is formed between a restriction ring 6 and the upper surface of insert 4 to extend laterally of the axis of the burner head, injection energy of the fuel gas in the vertical direction is extremely small but that in the horizontal direction is fairly high by reason of the centrifugal force. Therefore, combustion flame with a strong swirl can be formed.
