Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase an efficiency of a steam power plant such as a thermal or a nuclear power plant in the effective utilization the solar energy by furnishing a feed- water heater utilizing the solar energy for at least a boiler water feed system.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal power plant is construct to form a thermal cycle of a closed loop where the steam generated in a boiler 1 is circulated; the steam drives a turbine 2 and condensed by a condensor 4, the condensed water is heated by a low- pressure feed water heater, a high-pressure feed water heater 11 etc., and fed back to the boiler 1. A main regulation valve 13 in the water feed circuit in series with a solar heat collector 12 is supplied between a condensate pump 5 and a gland steam condenser 7. On sensing sunlight, a receiving cell 16 actuates a controller 15 to open a regulation valve 14 in the solar-heat-utilizing circuit and close the main regulation valve 13 of the water feed circuit.
