Abstract
PURPOSE: To turn easily the carried material by 90° in a small space by a method wherein a pair of stoppers are arranged so that they can pinch the conveyor and these stoppers are allowed to move in the direction rectangular to the conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: When a carried material A is conveyed on the conveyor 1 from left to right, one of stoppers 2 is at the forward position while the other 3 is at the backward position. Therefore, the carried material A stikes the end portion 2' on the entrance side of the stopper 2 at first and is turned a little around the end portion 2' as a center into a status A1. When the carried material is turned by about 90° through a status A2, the stopper 3 is advanced by a cylinder 5, the carried material A is pinched between the stoppers 2, 3 and the carried material A finishes a 90° turn. In order that ofter a carried material turns 90° the next material will alternate with the former one, the stopper 2 only escapes and the next carried material A must be made to turn by the stopper 3.
