Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain easy-to-see display by widening the width of a window by forming a lens on a plate arranged opposing to a light emission diode.
CONSTITUTION: Plate 6 made of transparent acrylic resin that is arranged opposing to light emission diode 1 has transparent film 7 on the surface opposing to diode 1 and lens 8 formed on its read side. To lead light from diode 1 to lens 8, two windows 9 in a longitudinally-thin slit shape are formed in the film for one diode 1. The light from light emission diode 1, after passing through dindows 9, is formed on plate 6 and refracted by lens 8, so that window 9 can be seen from the outside being expanded in size. Since the longitudinal width of window 9 is wider than the light emission part of diode 1, even a large fitting error between substrate 3 and plate 6 exerts no bad influence upon the functions.
