Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a packing material capable of reducing heat generated by a tire at the time of traveling by causing a specific terminal isocianate prepolymer to react with a hardening agent comprising a compound having a hydroxyl group or an amino group at the terminal at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A diene polymer having a hydroxyl group at the terminal and having a molecular weight of less than 10,000 is caused to react with a diisocianate compound at a ratio of satisfying the range of OH group ≤3.0 in NCO group/diene polymer in 1.6≤ diisocianate thereby to obtain a terminal isocianate prepolymer A. The thus obtained prepolymer A is caused to react with a hardening agent B having at the terminal a hydroxyl group or an amino group at a ratio of satisfying the range of OH group or NH2 group ≤1.3 in NCO group/hardening agent B in 0.7≤ prepolymer A thereby to obtain an elastomer, which is used as a desired tire packing agent.
