Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the manufacturing costs and improve the transferring efficiency and to obtain a lustrous transferred product, by applying a transfer image carrying surface tightly onto the surface on which an image is to be transferred, after releasing a heat-resisting film of transfer sheet, and then heating the heat-resisting film from the back thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A transfer sheet A is manufactured by applying heat-resisting film 3 over the surface of paper base 1 by the intermediary of releasable adhesive 2 and then developing a transfer image 4 on the film 3 by use of a heat transferring ink. By use of transfer sheet A thus manufactured, heat transferring ink is transferred onto the surface of sheet 5 on which the image is to be transferred, by applying transfer image carrying surface on film 3 tightly over the sheet 5 after releasing the heat-resisting film 3 from the surface of adhesive 2, and then heating the film 3 from the back thereof. Here, as the releasable adhesive, use is made of vinyl acetate, acrylic acid, casein or the like. The paper base and the heat-resisting film is bonded together preferably by applying the heat-resisting film over the paper base immediately after applying the adhesive resin solution or latex over the surface of heat-resisting film, and then drying the same.
