Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to have a look at time by sropping a second hand at a specific position on a dial in operation of battery life display, by making a single concentrative advance of the second hand in one second, and then by stopping it at the specific position.
CONSTITUTION: Once a voltage across battery 18 drops below a set detection value, the output of voltage detecting circuit 17 is inverted and when the contents of counting citcuit 21 stored with the position of the second hand agree with a second- hand life display position, an output is obtained to supply a fixed waveform from driving circuit 15 to pulse motor 16. So that waveform of 16Hz is output as many as 60 pulses, it is counted by second-hand fast advancing circuit 22, the count value of which is supplied to control circuit 20. As a result, the second hand can be stopped at its original position after taking a round on the dial from the life display position, advancing the minute hand by one second. To perform this operation at every minute, the time display of the hour hand and minute hand and the battery life display of the second hand can both be provided.
