Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the absolute numerical shape of a body without contacting it, by parallel shifting a position of light projection to a body to be measured and using the amount of the shift and the angle of the projection to calculate the distance between the point of installation of the body and its measured section.
CONSTITUTION: The light reception surface 22 of a light receiver 19 is located at a prescribed distance Lz0 from the point 0 of installation of the body to be measured. A displacement measuring base point R is set on a reference line 10 rectangular to a straight line extending between the point 0 and the center Sa of the light reception surface 22. The body to be measured 1 is then placed at the point 0 so that the measuring section P1 of the body is located directly in front of the center SA of the surface 22. Laser light is projected at a prescribed angle of α toward the surface of the body to be measured 1 from a reflecting mirror 13 on the reference line 10. When an image is formed on the center SA of the surface 22 by the light 27 reflected from the measuring section P1, a displacement Xr1 from the measuring base point R is detected. The distance lz1 between the measuring section P1 and the surface 22 is calculated from the displacement and the projection angle of α. The calculated value is subtracted from the distance Lz0 to determine the distance r1 between the point 0 and the measuring section P1. The distance xr1 represents the specific shape of the body to be measured.
