Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase separation accuracy automatically and to make correct classification possible, by separating small sized particles by an electrostatic classifier, then by separating grain particles from rough extraneous matter by means of a sieve.
CONSTITUTION: An inclined sieve net 11 is hung at the bottom of a collecting through 8, where grain particles and rough extraneous matter are collected simultaneously. Grains are put out from a hopper 1 by a feeder 2 set at the hopper 1, and is fed on the rotary drum 4 through a shoot 3. The grains dropped on the drum 4 are electrically charged by discharging electrodes 6, 6', 6" and are classified into grains, rough extraneous matter, crushed particles, and fine powder according to the difference in specific volume resistance and gravity, the grains and rough extraneous matter being collected to a collecting trough 8, then the grains are dropped to 8" through the meshes of a net 11, and the extraneous matter flows down along the net to 8', hereby both the materials are separated from each other. The crushed particles are collected to a collecting trough 9, and the fine powder is scraped down by a scraping brush 5 and is collected in the collecting trough 10.
