Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled recorder wherein shield electrodes are provided on both sides of droplet forming electrodes, while the distribution of charges from the droplet forming electrodes is confined in a narrow region by the electrostatic shielding effect so that a fine liquid line can be split minutely. CONSTITUTION:A fine liquid line 7 jetted from a jet orifice is converted into droplets by droplet forming electrodes 11-2, 11-1, while the droplets are electrically charged and deflected for conducting recording. In this case, shield electrodes 13-1, 13-2, 13-3 insulated from the droplet forming electrodes 11-2, 11-1 are provided on both sides of the latter. Since the distribution of electric charges from the droplet forming electrodes 11-2, 11-1 is confined in a narrow region, knots A, B of the fine liquid line 7 can be made smaller and hence droplets can be formed at high frequency.
