Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to view a picture of the same character and graph together with a video on many TV receivers, by superimposing a chroma signal of the character and graphs received on a character broadcast receiver in such as a school on a video signal of the standard system by using an encoder. CONSTITUTION:An NTSC video signal VI from a TV receiver is inputted to a buffer amplifier 33. Chroma signals R, G, B outputted from a character broadcast receiver are inputted to an OR gate 32 and also inputted to an NTSC encoder 28. The output of a gate 32 is mixed with the video output of the amplifier 33 via a diode 36 as the luminant signal of characters and graphs. Thus, only when the output of the gate 32 is high, the diode 36 is conductive, and the picture signal superimposed on white characters is formed on a TV screen. On the other hand, an analog gate 39 is controlled with the control signal in a character broadcast signal and the operation of selecting switch. With this constitution, the same characters and graphs are displayed on many color TV receivers together with pictures.
