Abstract

PURPOSE:To cut off heat with fine grooves and to remove metallic foils with good efficiency by forming two lengths of the fine grooves by laser beam, and irradiating a laser of a wide luminous flux to between the grooves, in removing the metallic foils spread on a blank sheet at broad width. CONSTITUTION:Two lines of parallel fine grooves 6 are provided by laser beam 4b of a slender luminous flux on a blank sheet 3 made by spreading metallic foil sheets 2 of aluminum, tin or the like on a plastic sheet 1. Next, the metallic foils 2 between the fine grooves 6 are removed by using laser beam 4a of a wide luminous flux. At this time, the heat applied by the laser beam 4a is cut off by the fine grooves 6 to make the heat difficult to escape to the surroundings and is transferred at less heat losses to the metallic foil to be removed, whereby a broad groove 7 is formed. If the laser beam which is easy to transmit through the sheet 1 is used, working on both sides is accomplished simultaneously by the irradiation from one side.
