Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove fluorinei on from waste with high efficiency, in an aluminum hydroxide coprecipitation method, by brinding a fluorine-contng. aqueous solution in contact with precipitated aluminum hydroxide, and cyclng a resultant separated liquid for coprecipitation.
CONSTITUTION: The mixed solution of an Al component-contg. aqueous solution 15 with a F-contng. cycling aqueous solution 16 separated from sludge is introduced into a neutralizing vessel 18, where the mixed solution is adjusted at a pH level suitable for generation of Al(OH)3. As a result, Al(OH)3 is precipitated, coagulated, and separated as flocks in a pressure floating vessel 21. The separated water is discharged, while the flocks are mixed again with the aqueous solution in a mixing vessel 23, so that it is not necessary to completely dehydrate the flocks. A F- contng. aqueous solution 24 to be disposed is introduced into the vessel 23, mixed with said flocks at a proper ratio, and separated as completely as possible by a centrifugal hydroextractor 17 or the like. The separated Al(OH)3 sludge is taken out. About 80W90% or more of F ion is absorbed in the Al(OH)3 sludge, while a small portion of the F-contng. separated water is cycled along a line 16.
