Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the heat sensitive recording paper capable of eliminating the color of a thermally color developing part naturally and of developing the color again by a method wherein alcohol having an aromatic ring and solid under normal temperature is contained in heat sensitive coating liquid. CONSTITUTION:The alcohol, having the aromatic ring such as 1-phenyl-ether alcohol, 1,1 dimethyl-2-phenylethanol or the like and a melting point higher than 60 deg.C preferably, existing as a solid showing no color or light color and insoluble, is blended with the heat sensitive coating liquid consisting of a color developing substance showing no color or somewhat light color usually and a phenol compound developing said color developing substance upon being heated, at a rate of 5-10pts. of phenol compound with respect to one part of the color developing substance. The recording paper coated with said heat sensitive agent develops the color upon being heated, but the color is eliminated naturally with time age while develops the color distinctly as before when it is heated again.
