Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain a heating temperature at a constant level and to obtain a stable and secure combustion in the heat exchanger using a surface burning burner by controlling a gas supply rate regulating means based on the temperature of a heated liquid and by automatically adjusting the gas supply rate in proportion to a supply rate of a primary burning air.
CONSTITUTION: In a case 3 having a suction fan 1 equipped exhaust gas cyinder 2 is provided the surface burning burner 4 having a cylindrical burning surface 4a. At the bottom of the case 3, there is provided a suction passage 5 through which the primary air is supplied to the burner 4 and which is constituted by a cylinder 6 widened downwardly. The cylinder 6 is provided with a nozzle 7 by which the fuel gas is supplied to the burner 4. A water pipe 10 is mounted on the case 3 and heat transmission fins 9 are provided in the water pipe crossing part. A fuel gas supply pipe 10 is provided with a zero governor 11 which regulates the supply rate of gas in proportion to the supply rate of the primary air. In the upstream of the suction fan 1, there is arranged an intake passage 13 to communicate the suction passage 12 with the external air. An air flow rate control valve 14 is provided within the intake passage 13 to adjust the supply rate of the air/fuel mixture. Further, there is provided a controller 16 which controls automtically the operation of the air flow rate control valve 14 so that the detection temperature can be maintained at a constact level based on the information from a warm water detector 15 installed at an outlet 8b of the water pipe 8.
