NEW MATERIAL:A 3-substituted amino-2-(9-β-D-ribofuranosylpurin-6-yl)-acrylonitrile expressed by formula I [R1 is (substituted) alkylamino, dialkylamino, aralkylamino, allylamino, pyrrolidino, piperidino or morpholino group; R2 is H or protecting group].
EXAMPLE: 3-( N-Monomethylamino )-2-( 9-β-D-ribofuranosylpurin-6-yl )-acrylonitrile.
USE: A peripheral vasodilator, an antiallergic and an antitumor agents.
PROCESS: A 3-amino-2-(9-β-D-ribofuranosylpurin-6-yl)-acrylonitrile of formula II (R2' is protecting group) is reacted with an amine of the formula R1H, preferably in a mixed solvent of an alcohol with dioxane, under heating to give the compound of formula I.
