Abstract

PURPOSE:To convert a scale of the pound/ounce-system into a scale of the kg-system through a simple operation by employing the ratio between the count obtained in the pound/ounce-system and the count obtained in the kg-system as a conversion constant. CONSTITUTION:A voltage signal corresponding to a load 2 and provided by a load cell 1 is applied to a microcomputer 8 through an A/D converter 3. A status switch 5 includes a change-over switch 5a which changes the measuring unit system from the pound/ounce-system into the kg-system. When the change-over switch 5a is operated, the measured count of the pound/ounce-system is converted into the measured count of the kg-system by the microcomputer 8 and the converted value is displayed on a display device 6.
