Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate a shock sound in switching and to nearly eliminate power consumption when an amplifier with a function of muting used for a microcassette tape recorder, etc., is off, by turning on and off the amplifier by holding one point of a current source biasing circuit at an open potential and earth potential. CONSTITUTION:The output of a time constant circuit set by a resistance (R) 1 provided between a power terminal 18 and an earth terminal 20 and a capacitor (C) 1 connected to a terminal 16 is supplied to a transistor (TR) Q3. To the TRQ3, a current Miller circuit composed of TRs Q4 and Q5 is connected and in the current Miller circuit, a muting part 14 is constituted by connecting TRs Q6 and Q7 in series. A voltage at a point (a) obtained by the muting part 16 is applied as a current source bias to an amplification part 15. When the terminal 16 is grounded, the TRQ3 turns off and the amplifier 15 also turns off. When the terminal is opened, the potential at the terminal 16 rises with a time constant determined by the R1 and C1 and the amplifier 15 turns on. Therefore, no shock sound in switching is generated.
