Abstract
PURPOSE: A carcinostatic composition with lowered toxicity, obtained by blending a neocarzinostatin antagonist with NCS-C substance.
CONSTITUTION: The composition obtained by blending a neocarzinostatin antagonist with NCS-C substance in a blending ratio of the latter to the former preferably 0.1W10wt%. Neocarzinostatin Ma having carcinostatic action, a neocarzinostatin antagonist and NCS-C substance are obtained by cultivating Streptomyces carzinostaticus var. F-41 Kuroya (FERM-P2257). Neocarzinostatin Ma has carcinostatic actions and is widely used today in clinic field, but it has toxicity in no small quantities. The use of both the neocarzinostatin antagonist and NCS-C substance has the same carcinostatic effects as that of neocarzinostatin Ma, and far smaller amount of toxicity.
