Abstract
PURPOSE: A solid paint, prepared by mixing a pigment with a water-soluble synthetic paste and a water-soluble natural paste, and molding the resultant mixture into a tablet, having improved solubility in water, fixing porperty on paper or cloth and long-term storage stability, and convenient for portable use.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. Organic or inorganic pigment is kneaded with 20W 30pts.wt. composite paste consisting of a water-soluble synthetic paste, e.g. PVA or CMC, and a water-soluble natural paste, e.g. glue or gum arabic, 15W25pts.wt. wetting agent, e.g. a sulfonate salt, and 70W85pts.wt. water fully, and the mixture is dried to give a residual moisture content of about 10W20wt%. The dried mixture is then molded into a tablet preferably having a diameter of 5W20mm and a height of 3W10mm. The composite synthetic paste preferably consists of 10W40wt% glue, 60W80wt% water-soluble synthetic paste and 0.1W5wt% gum arabic.
