Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out an adsorption treatment for gasses of a large volume with a small energy consumption, by forming an air-permeable partition with a honeycomb type adsorbent substance in plural compartments, and by providing each compartment with a selective charger for selectively charging a fluid to be treated and a fluid for a regeneration treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A box type structure 1 holding adsorbent is divided into compartments 3 by partitions 2; in each compartment 3, an inlet 5 and outlet 6 of a fluid to be treated, and an inlet 8 and outlet 7 of a fluid for a regeneration treatment, are provided in the wall surfaces 4, 4' facing to each other; an ON-OFF damper 9 is attached to each of said outlets 6, 7. All of these dampers 9 are respectively equipped with a solenoid; these solenoids are electrically, sequentially interlocked so as to simultaneously open-or-close the dampers 9, 9 of the inlet 5 and outlet 6 of the fluid to be treated, and the dampers 9, 9 of the inlet 8 and outlet 7 of the fluid for the regeneration treatment. When the adsorbent becomes inactive, an adsorbent block 10 is separately replaced one by one through a manhole 12.
