Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform diagnosis of error correction code check circuits or the like according to normal, 1 bit error and 2 bit error patterns by performing diagnosis for various patterns by a storage control part and an error detecting control part. CONSTITUTION:A storage control part 5 generates the control signals of 00, 10, 01 of 2 bits according to the normal pattern, 1 bit error pattern and 2 bit error pattern set in a storage part 1. The patterns having been set in the part 1 are applied via an output resistor 3 to an error correction code check circuit 4. The diagnosis output of the circuit 4 is detected with an error detection control part 6, and in the event of abnormality of the circuit 4, the output of the OR circuit 7-3 of an error detection output part 7 inverts to ''1'', whereby abnormality reporting is accomplished. Hence, the diagnosis of the error correction code check circuit is accomplished surely not only for normal patterns but for 1-bit error, 2-bit error patterns as well.
